STRONGER TOGETHER: Charlotte County Homeless Coalition to Merge with St. Vincent de Paul CARES

Rehousing

We are thrilled to share some exciting news that marks a significant milestone in our mission to alleviate and prevent hunger and homelessness. The Charlotte County Homeless Coalition is combining forces with St. Vincent de Paul CARES (SVdP CARES) to bring the realization of ending homelessness to life.

By joining forces, we can streamline our efforts and change the trajectory of the lives we touch. This strategic alliance will elevate our ability to enhance care for our neighbors in Charlotte County and end homelessness for US Veterans, families with children, and individuals, making it Rare, Brief, and One-Time.

St. Vincent de Paul, through loving members of the Sacred Heart, St. Charles Borromeo, St. Maximilian Kolbe, and San Antonio conferences, has been caring for neighbors in need in Charlotte County since 1963.

“Combining our resources and expertise will allow us to provide more comprehensive support to those experiencing homelessness,” said Cheryl Maymon, Homeless Coalition Board President. “Together, we will be stronger advocates for the vulnerable populations we serve.”

St. Vincent de Paul CARES CEO, Michael J. Raposa added, “As a leader in ending homelessness with a success rate of over 80% in 19 Florida counties, it is an incredible honor to unite with the talented staff and community stakeholders of the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition.”

We are deeply grateful for your continued support and generosity, which have been instrumental in our efforts to serve the homeless community. This is a tremendous opportunity to amplify the impact of your contributions and help even more people achieve housing stability and self-sufficiency.

We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress and sharing more details as we move towards finalizing this merger. Thank you for being an essential part of our journey and for your unwavering commitment to ending homelessness.

Best regards,

Dr. Lisa Pervin
